Colyn, a master fiddler, classical violinist and teacher, judges the annual California Scottish competition, and has judged the Portland and U.S. national competitions.
Shauna, who co-founded America’s first reel-and-strathspey society, plays solo classical piano, composes, arranges, and records. She has accompanied the most noted Scottish fiddlers of North America.
Born in Scotland to Hebridean parents, Calum started fiddle at age 8 and played on BBC Radio a mere four years later. He came to the US as an engineer; today, having “given up Boeing for bowing”, he is a full-time fiddler, judge and teacher.
Katie Harvey is an award-winning fiddler and step-dancer. She specializes in Cape Breton style fiddling and has had the privilege of studying with musical greats such as Natalie MacMaster and Troy MacGillivray.
