Calum

Born in Scotland to Hebridean parents, Calum started fiddle at age 8 and played on BBC Radio a mere four years later. He came to the US as an engineer; today, having “given up Boeing for bowing”, he is a full-time fiddler, judge and teacher.

His concert appearances, dance gigs, and workshops have taken him across the length and breadth of North America, and to Scotland, England, and Japan. The 1988 Nationals runner-up, he has judged the national competitions five times and coached several national champions.
